芍陂创建问题再探

摘　　要：芍陂是我国古代最古老的一项大型农田水利工程,目前对于该工程创建的年代、由谁主持创建等问题,学界还存有分歧。本文从孙叔敖任楚令尹的时间、楚国东扩的史实,楚庄王时期前后楚国和芍陂所在地区的经济发展状况及其对水利工程的要求,以及芍陂水利效益对当地经济社会发展的推动作用等几个方面,进行了综合分析,论证出芍陂应为楚庄王时期楚令尹孙叔敖主持创建。Quebei Project is the most ancient irrigation project in China.When was it built？ Who was in charge of building it？ There are different answers to these questions.By analyzing such issues as the period when Sun Shu＇ao assumed the office of Kingdom Chu＇s Premier,the history of Kingdom Chu＇s expansion towards the east,the social and economic conditions of Kingdom Chu,the demand for irrigation project,and the efficiency of Quebei Project,this paper concludes that construction of Quebei Project was under the charge of Sun Shu＇ao during the period of King Chuzhuang when Sun was the premier of Kingdom Chu.
