摘 要:光突发交换(OBS)网络是一种有望实现小粒度、动态光交换的新型光通信网络结构,OBS边缘节点的性能分析与硬件实现对于OBS网络的实用化具有重要意义。以NS-2软件为基础,设计并实现了针对OBS网络的仿真平台,对由3个核心节点和6个边缘节点构成的OBS网络的运行情况(包括路由选择、突发包汇聚、资源利用率等)进行了仿真。同时,以现场可编程门阵列(FPGA)为硬件平台,设计并实现了OBS网络边缘节点的基本功能(包括数据分组和控制分组生成、资源预留协议的实现等)。仿真结果验证了OBS网络在网络时延和吞吐量方面的性能,而硬件平台的测试结果验证了OBS边缘节点的实用性。Optical burst switching(OBS) network is a promising solution for implementing the novel optical communication network architecture with small granularity and dynamic optical switching.The performance analysis and hardware implementation of the OBS edge node has important significance to put the OBS networks into operation.The simulation platform for OBS networks was designed and implemented based of NS-2 software.Moreover,a simple OBS network with 3 core nodes and 6 edge nodes was simulated in terms of routing selection,burst assembly function and resource utilization.In the mean time,a field programmable gate array(FPGA) based hardware platform was used to implement the basic functions in OBS edge nodes,such as generating the burst data packet and burst control packet,realizing resource reservation protocol.Simulation results verify the OBS performance such as network delay and throughput.While,the testing results of hardware platform show the practicability of the devised OBS edge nodes.
