Objective To study the effects of continuous scheduling of hierachical management on postoperative nursing quality in elderly patients with fractures. Methods We selected 198 aged patients with fractures in our hospital from January 2006 to February 2008 as the control group, then another 198 from March 2008 to April 2010 as the observation group. We treated the control group with traditional model of responsible nursing care and the observation group with the continuous scheduling of hierachical management. The two groups were compared in terms of the mastery rates of knowledge related to disease, patient' satisfaction and the incidence of postoperative complications. Results Both the mastery rates of knowledge related to disease and patients' satisfaction in the observation group were higher than those in the control group.Meanwhile, the incidence rates of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P 0.05) Conclusion Continuous scheduling of hierachical management to aged patients with fractures can effectively increase patients' mastery rates of knowledge related to disease, increase patient' satisfaction of care and reduce postoperative complications and so it is worth widely applying clinically.
