摘　　要：新世纪新馆建设浪潮中,图书馆的重大变革还表现在图书馆功能的多元化所建构的社会公共空间的崛起,以及读者对这个空间的认同所带来的图书馆读者群体的多元化和广泛化。当然,这种变革有着深刻的社会背景,如社会进步对人的文化素质的高要求以及教育大众化和学历教育的普及所培养的群众文化群体的形成。By analyzing some cases of new library construction such as Dongguan Library,etc.this paper thinks that the library＇ major change is also reflected in the rise of public space of the diversity of library functions that the readers＇ recognition of this space has brought the diversity and spreading of library reader groups in the tide of new library construction This change has profound social background such as social progress leads to higher requirements of cultural quality and the formation of cultural groups by the education popularization and universal undergraduate education.
