摘　　要：通过对叶芝早期诗歌作品及中晚期代表作的细读和分析,揭示出围绕着叶芝一生的众多两极冲突正是形成其作品魅力的根源,也是其诗歌中的主题。早期的叶芝徘徊在梦幻、仙境与现实之间,极力追求一个自足自在的诗性空间;中期之后,随岁月而来的智慧使得叶芝开始追求永恒的艺术及人生和艺术的完美合一。Through close reading and detailed analysis of Yeats＇s early poems and major works from middle and late periods,this paper arrives at the conclusion that the complex antinomies in Yeats＇s life constitute the major themes and sources of beauty in his poems.Early Yeats lingers between dreamland,fairyland and reality,persistently pursuing an autonomous domain of poetry.During the middle and late periods,as a result of the coming of wisdom with time,Yeats begins to pursue the eternal art and the perfect union between life and art.
