摘　　要：简述居住小区理论的发展背景,理性地审视了居住小区理论面临的诸多挑战,从分析理论面临的变革因素角度提出了革新居住小区理论的迫切性,分析其理论价值并指出保留居住小区理论的重要性。对居住小区理论的概念提出了修改,提出提高居住小区的人口规模、调整居住区规划组织结构、调整居住小区的交通组织方式、调整居住小区的公共设施配置内容与指标、调整居住小区的绿地系统配置指标等设想,试图探索一种适合当今中国城市住宅区建设的新的理论。This article reviews China＇s residential quarter theory used in planning practice. The paper suggests that it is time to redefine the theory with changing circumstances. The paper proposes the up-scaling of residential quarters, the reorganization of planning structure, the adjustment of road systems, and the modification of design standards for public facilities and urban green systems.
