摘　　要：侯仁之是我国历史地理学的奠基者之一,是北京历史地理研究的集大成者,同时也对北京乃至我国的新编地方志工作作出了重要贡献。他在研究北京历史地理过程中对北京旧志等史料了解全面深刻,在20世纪80年代初我国开始新式方志的编纂工作时,他结合旧志的长处和不足提出了新志应当有新的内容,即新修方志中要增加对地理变化的记载。这对北京新修方志的编纂工作是重要的理论创新。同时,侯仁之还亲自主持编写了一些方志。他关于北京历史尤其是历史地理方面的观点也为《北京志》各分志提供了重要理论支撑。Mr.HOU Renzhi,as one of the founders of Chinese historical geography,and the comprehensive synthesist of Beijings historical geographical study,makes important contributions to new-local chronicles compilation of Beijing and even the whole nation.During his study on Beijings historical geography,he has a comprehensive and profound understanding of Beijings history records like ancient local chronicles.In the early 1980s when China began her new-local chronicles compilation,he proposed that new local chronicles should have new content,that is,records of geographical variations should be added in new local chronicles,which has proved to be an important theoretical innovation to Beijings new local chronicles compilation.Meanwhile,Mr.HOU himself presided over the compilation of some new local chronicles too.His opinions on Beijings history,especially on its historical geography,offers important theoretical support to sub-chronicles of Beijing chronicles.
