摘　　要：运用文献资料法和逻辑分析法研究了新农村建设诉求下体育的功能与作用,认为积极有效地开展农村体育活动,是社会主义新农村建设的重要内容,也是新农村建设的重要任务.体育不仅是提高新农村健康水平的基本方式,也是新农村文化建设的重要途径和新农村生活方式优化的重要手段,还是增强农村居民社会情感的理想途径.在农村积极开展体育活动,可以促进生产力的发展和农村居民的社会参与,丰富农村社会文化生活,培养农村居民的规则意识,还可以成为新农村经济的增长点.体育对新农村建设目标的达成具有无可替代的独特作用.The study on physical functions and effects under the demands of the new countryside construction by using the methods of documentation are analyzed in this article.To develop rural sports activities effectively,it is an important content and task for new socialistic countryside construction.Sports is not only the basic way to improve the health level of new countryside,but also the important ways of new countryside culture construction and the important means of new rural lifestyle optimization.And it is still the ideal way to enhance the social emotions of rural residents.It can promote the development of productive forces and social participation of rural residents by carrying out sports activities actively in rural areas.It can enrich rural social and cultural life,and cultivate rural residents＇ rule consciousness,too.Even it may also become a new growth point of the rural economy.Sports plays an irreplaceable role in reaching the target of the new rural construction.
