摘　　要：随着Ｉｎｔｅｒｎｅｔ转变为信息基础设施，它的发展需同时满足高带宽和区别服务要求。介绍支持高带宽和区别服务的路由器体系结构，概述路由器内部机制，包括交换结构、数据包分类、数据包调度和缓冲管理的实现方法，并分析这些方法管理资源的灵活性和可扩展性。With the transformation of the Internet to a commercial infrastructure, the development of Internet need satisfy the requirementof providing differentiated services to users as well as the demand of high bandwidth. In this paper, the router architecture that supports thesetwo trends is described, and an overview of implementations of router mechanisms including switching fabric. packet classification, packetscheduling and buffer management is provided. In addition, the flexibility to allocate resources and scalability of these implementations arediscussed.
