摘　　要：城市的出现是人类走向成熟和文明最显著的标志,也是人类群居生活的高级形式。博物馆建筑,在当代建筑领域,扮演了城市历史文化展示窗口的角色。承载了几千年古都文化的首都博物馆新馆,作为北京对外展示其悠久历史与开放文明的窗口,不仅把厚重的历史文化注入建筑本身,而且将其所在的特殊地域的场所精神与时代认知感融汇于建筑中,诠释了一个当代博物馆作为城市文化公共客厅的全新理念。AThe emergence of city is the most becoming mature and civilized, and it is also the senior form of human being social life. Museum archelecture plays on important role as the exhibition platform of city history and culture. The new Copitol Museum, which is of several lhousand years＇ oncienl city culture and also shows lhe long history and culture, has not only mixed the long history and culture but a;so the special location and modern spirit into the archetectore, fully interpreted the fresh idea of making contemporory museum a cily＇s culture hall.
