摘　　要：华盛顿·欧文的代表作"瑞普·凡·温克尔"从民族身份的客观变迁、价值观念与民族意识的深层演进两个方面书写了北美荷兰人后裔融入美利坚民族的历史。本文还认为,该小说历史书写视角和叙事模式强化了历史意识和历史书写。Washington Irving,in his ＂Rip Van Winkle,＂ writes the history of how the Dutch colonists and their descendants in North America merged into American nationality in both material and spiritual terms.This essay also believes that the unique point of view in history writing and narrative pattern consolidate the consciousness of history and enhance the history writing in this story.
