摘　　要：一直以来语言学界对英语中动词有着诸多争议,因此有必要换个视角对其进行作进一步的探讨。现以宋国明的研究为基础,尝试利用约束理论、题元准则和格理论等已有概念来解释中动句中的NP移位,并通过例子证明中动词带内外双主目的观点能在生成语法框架内得到很合理的解释。Since there has been much dispute over English middles in linguistic field,it is of great significance to further dissect this issue from a new perspective.Thus,on the basis of Song＇s study,this essay attempts to expound NP Movement in English Middle Constructions by means of Binding Theory,Theta Criterion and Case Theory.Meanwhile,by virtue of some instances,the author strives to contend that the two-argument position presents a most reasonable clarification within the generativist framework.
