摘　　要：为了提高语音及传真类业务在异步传输模式(ATM)中的传输性能,在对ATM信元格式和语音编码的特点进行分析之后,提出了一种适合于语音及传真类业务传输的ATM/AAL2信元格式。详细介绍了基于可编程逻辑电路(FPGA)的AAL2适配模块的设计方法及其工作原理,并对模块的转发性能进行了分析。该模块具备线速转发能力,可移植性好,适用于ATM设备中多接口、多速率、多话路、多编码的并行接入及处理。To improve the performance of voice and fax data transmission in ATM networks,this paper analyzes the characteristics of ATM cell format and voice coding,and then brings forward an ATM/AAL2 cell format suitable for transmission of voice and fax data.A design method and operation principle of AAL2 module is designed based on FPGA,and the transmit performance of module is analyzed.This module is able to forward data in linear speed,easy to migrate,and suitable for parallel accessing and processing of multi-interface,multi-rate,multi-channel and/or multi-codec.
