摘　　要：雪莱·玛丽在她19岁的时候出版了《弗兰肯斯坦》或《现代的普罗米修斯》。在那之后的将近两百年,这个科学家利用死人的躯体创造生命体的故事一直成为了我们的梦魇。许多学者和评论家也对此作品从多个角度进行了评论分析。文章拟从马斯洛需求理论入手,来探求怪物在人类世界寻求自我和身份的悲剧命运的根源。Frankenstein was published in 1818, when Mary shelly was 19 years old. And for nearly two hundred years, the tale of a young scientist who creates the monster has gripped our imaginations and haunted our nightmares. Different scholars have made different comments from different perspectives. This paper attempts to find out the reasons for the monster＇s tragic fate through Maslow＇s theories.
