生态视阈中美国文学史的反思

摘　　要：美国文学史的建构在经历了几次重大变革之后,内涵和疆域不断拓展,已经涵盖了阶级、性别、种族等众多政治、文化因素。然而,笔者通过调查研究发现,在四部具有代表性的美国文学史著作中,自然这一人类社会活动中不可或缺的角色却始终处于边缘甚或缺席的地位。文学史建构中的这种片面关注人类活动、漠视自然存在的做法,从一个侧面反映了人文学科中的人类中心主义倾向。在当下生态危机日益严峻的背景下,我们迫切需要再次反思我们的文化,构建有利于恢复人与自然和谐关系的文化体系。反思美国文学史建构中的"生态偏见",重现自然在美国文学中的勃勃生机,已成为美国文学研究的重要课题。The construction of American literary history has undergone several important evolutions.Such political and cultural aspects as class,gender,and race have become decisive factors for the reconstruction and expansion of the American literary canon.However,in all of the voluminous history works,nature has always been marginalized,or even neglected,in spite of its indispensable part in the human life.This arbitrary division between nature and culture and the biased neglect of nature in the construction of American literary history is a revealing example of anthropocentricism in the Humanities.In face of the ever-worsening ecological crisis,there is urgent need to reconstruct a cultural system that is beneficial for the restoration of harmony between humanity and nature.In the field of American literary studies,to reflect on the ecological bias in the American literary history and open a green chapter has become a major task.
