摘  要:The purpose of this study was to determine how much learning transferred through reading tasks to grammatical points, and how a language class which was context-based or discourse-based could be made effective in teaching grammatical points. In this study, an experiment was conducted comparing experimental group having received the instruction grammatical points, which were context- or discourse-based with the control group not having received the instruction in this way, but they were taught grammar in isolation (no context- or discourse-based). The results indicated that the experimental group who received instruction outperformed the control group
