摘　　要：图书馆的现代化既是历史概念也是文化概念。在我国图书馆现代化的进程中,人们片面重视历史进程而忽视了文化内涵的获取、确立。要实现图书馆的现代化,除了必须兴建新型图书馆、建立适应新型图书馆的工作制度、使用先进的技术设备和手段之外,还必须改革图书馆的精神素质,重新塑造图书馆的灵魂,把图书馆变成具有现代文化意义的图书馆。Library modernization is both the historical concept and the cultural concept.In the process of Chinese library modernization,people attach importance to history unilaterally and ignore the acquisition and establishment of cultural connotation.Besides building new type libraries,setting up working system to adapt new type libraries,using advanced technical plants and methods,achieving library modernization should reform the spiritual quality of libraries,treat and remodel the library soul,change libraries into the library with modern cultural significance.
