Synthesis of Column-Shape Diamonds from Fe-Based Alloy and Graphite System at High Pressure and High Temperature

摘  要:用国产SPD 6×1200型六面顶压机,在10%Fe/90%Fe70Ni30粉末触媒和石墨(Fe–C)体系中,在压力为5.0~5.5 GPa、温度为1 550~1 600 K下合成出柱状金刚石晶体。研究了晶体的形态和生长习性。结果表明:合成的柱状金刚石晶体的颜色呈现绿色,晶体的长度为0.6~0.8 mm,长径比约为2.0~2.5。晶体有两种完整晶形,分别沿着[100]和[111]方向生长。晶体的红外吸收光谱分析表明,柱状金刚石晶体的含氮量(1500×106)高于正常形状晶体的。The column-shape diamond crystals were synthesized with a powder alloy catalyst of 10%(in mass)Fe/90%Fe70Ni30 and a graphite powder by a cubic anvil apparatus(Model SPD–6 × 1200) at 5.0–5.5 GPa and 1 550–1 600 K.The morphology and growth behavior of diamond crystal were investigated.The results show that the synthetic diamond crystals have a column-shape with light green color.The length range of the crystals was 0.6–0.8 mm with the length to diameter ratios of 2.0–2.5.The column-shape crystals had two main kinds of complete crystal shapes,namely,one elongated along the direction and another along the direction.It was indicated that the nitrogen content(1 500 × 10^6) of the synthetic diamond crystal was greater than that of the normal diamond crystal.
