摘　　要：手势语是一种重要的非语言符号,在人际交往中发挥着重要的作用。以藏英手势语为研究对象,分析了藏英手势语的能指和所指,并以实例说明藏英手势语在非言语交际中所引起的短路现象,旨在使不同文化的交际者在跨文化非语言交际中,注意并尊重不同民族的手势符号习惯。Gesture,an important non-linguistic sign,plays a key role in communication.This paper attempts to discuss the gestures of Tibetans and English-speaking people,probes into the signifiers and signified of these gestures and analyses short circuits in the gesture communication between Tibetans and English-speaking people,aiming to enable people to notice and respect the gestures of different peoples and avoid short-circuits in cross-cultural communication.
