摘　　要：CDA （Critical Discourse Analysis） is a type of discourse analytical research that primarily studies the way social power abuse, dominance and inequality are enacted, reproduced and resisted by text and talk in the social and political context （Van Dijk, 1998）. The best way to learn about something is to see how it works. The set purpose of this paper is to apply CDA theory to a case study--Bush＇s speech in Iraq on March 18, 2003 so as to show how CDA works in discourse analysis.
