摘　　要：冷战初期,美国出于国家安全的考虑,将有民主化进程的危地马拉阿本斯政府视为苏联共产主义势力在该国的扩张,欲将之除去。通过两次秘密行动,采取外交压力和心理战相结合的手段,最终推翻了危地马拉的民选政府,这也成为美国今后在拉丁美洲干涉别国内政的一种模式和手段。At the beginning of Cold War,the process of democratization appeared in Guatemala,but America considered it as the expansion of communism of USSR.For the safe of America,it planed to overthrow the Guatemala government.Utilized two actions,in the combination of diplomatic pressure and psychological warfare,America overthrown the elected government in Guatemala at last,this is a mode and means for America to interfere the internal affairs of other countries in Middle America.
