摘　　要：短篇小说《墙》是让—保罗·萨特公开发表的第一部小说,本文试图分析小说《墙》中"墙"的意象,认为"墙"不仅指可见的牢房,而且指无形的阻隔,即人与人之间的隔阂以及生与死之间的界限。"墙"的意象背后则是作为哲学家的萨特对自由选择、他人及世界的偶然性和荒诞性等哲学主题的思考。短篇小说《墙》是萨特哲学主题寓于文学形式创作风格的开端。＂ The Wall＂ is the first short story published by Sartre. The wall in the story not only refers to the concrete wall of the prison, but also indicates the invisible wall among people and the borderline between life and death. An analysis of the images of the wall reveals Sartre＇s reflections on such subjects as free choice, the other, contingency, absurdity and so on. It is shown that ＂The Wall＂ artistically embodies Sartre＇s philosophy of existentialism.
