摘　　要：GIS数据库是地理信息系统的重要组成部分和应用资源,对于GIS数据库更新体系的理论和技术研究,保持地理空间数据的现势性,是GIS的首要问题。ArcGIS软件是一个功能比较强大的分析管理及应用GIS软件,本设计采用ArcGIS完成了面状要素的更新工作,在本文中,采用GIS集成二次开发的方法,通过ActiveX(OCX)控件技术,实现了异或(Differences)命令。GIS database is the important component and applies resources of the geographical information system,the theory and technical research for the updated system of GIS database,keep the up-to-date tendency of the geographical space data,it is a primary problem of GIS.ArcGIS software is strong function GIS software,this designing finish updating area elements by ArcGIS software,In the course of designing,use GIS integration secondary develop method and ActiveX（O C X）controls technology,and realize differences（Differences）command.
