摘　　要：As of 2010,there are over 2,000 universities in China,and the gross enrollment rate reaches 26.5 percent.China needs to carefully deal with a series of problems existing in higher education before the country reaches targets set more than a dozen years ago to build a number of world-class universities and programs.
