摘　　要：详细介绍了英国铸铁研究协会、美国国际镍公司和德国亚琛工业大学铸造研究所在球墨铸铁发明过程中所做的研究和取得的成果,认为他们在几乎相同的时间段,各自从不同方面去丰富、充实球墨铸铁的内涵,支撑其更好发展,才让这种工程材料有美好的明天。The researches and achievements conducted by BCIRA, International Nickel Co.,Ltd.（US） and Foundry Research Institute of Achen University of Technology （Germany） in the invention process of the spheroidal graphite cast iron were introduced in details. It was considered that all of them had made different contributions in different aspects and at almost the same time interval to support the development of the SG cast iron and had brought a fine future to this engineering material.
