中国人民大学前身时期对新中国高等教育的意义

摘　　要：中国人民大学是新中国创办的第一所新型正规大学,其前身为1937—1949年期间中国共产党先后创办的陕北公学、华北联合大学、华北大学。这些学校不仅为中国共产党和新中国探索和积累了宝贵的兴办高等教育的经验,为中国革命和建设事业造就了数万堪称"革命的先锋队"的优秀人才,还作为新中国高等教育的源头、摇篮之一,为新中国新型高等教育的起步和发展奠定了重要基础。同时,中国人民大学前身时期所培养和汇聚的一大批教育家和知名学者,也以各自的卓越成就为新中国的高等教育事业作出了杰出贡献。Renmin University of China（RUC）is the first modern university founded by the newly established People＇s Republic of China.It was established by Communist Party of China in 1937,first known as Shaanbei Public School.During 1937to 1950,it was renamed as Huabei United University and Huabei University.During this period,these universities had initiated comprehensive exploration and gained valuable experience for higher education development in China.Moreover,they have cultivated over tens of thousands of talented intellectuals who were considered as＂revolutionary vanguards＂ and the pillar of society.These graduates have made enormous contribution to Chinese revolution and national development.These universities serve as a cradle and have laid a solid foundation for the emergence and development of Chinese higher education.They has prepared and attracted a large number of outstanding scholars and excellent educators who endeavor to devote to the development of Chinese higher education.
