摘 要:文中提出了一种提高定向耦合器分光比精度,特别是互易性的方法。利用耦合器交叉臂90°相移,实现检测分光比之差,从而实现高精度的耦合器。特别是在分光比50:50的情况下,耦合器分光比的偏差仅受限于检测器的灵敏度。对于保偏耦合器,该方法可以分别监控消光比和分光比。用这种方法制作出的光纤耦合器可以应用于光纤陀螺,以保证顺时针和逆时针方向的信号光具有更好的互易性,从而提高陀螺的检测精度。A new method was especially enhance the reciprocity presented which could improve the precision of couphng ratio and of directional coupler. Due to the 90° phase-shift between two arms of the coupler, the difference between two splitted fields can be measured on the free output-port, thus the coupling ratio of the directional coupler was accurately determined. Especially in the case of 50:50 coupling ratio, the precision of coupling ratio was only limited by the sensitivity of the detector. For the polarization-maintaining coupler, the proposed method can monitor the extinction ratio and coupling ratio respectively. This method can be applied to improve the reciprocity between clockwise and counter clockwise signal lights, therefore, it will improve the sensitivity of the fiber-optic gyroscope.
