摘　　要：为避免城市设计千城一面,根据诺伯格.舒尔茨的场所理论探讨了场所和场所精神的含义,分析了场所精神对城市设计的指导意义。以西安为例对城市设计细节表达提出了设计建议,认为应将场所精神结合到现代城市空间的设计中去,展现给人们一个本真的、良好的城市空间。To avoid the similarity of city designing, this article discusses the guiding meaning of the spirit of place to city designing according to the Norberg Schulz＇ s Theory on Place. This article takes Xi＇ an City for example to elaborate the details of city designing. It points out that the place spirit should be integrated into the city designing to demonstrate a real and better city space, that is, the city is the creation and combination of ＂places＂.
