提篮桥监狱与上海监狱制度的现代化初探

摘　　要：上海租界是上海现代化的起源地,在租界里开始了上海现代化的脚步,上海监狱制度的现代化也肇始于租界。提篮桥监狱是上海规模最大的具有现代化监狱管理制度的监狱,是租界监狱的代表作,也是上海监狱制度现代化转型的缩影。因此,上海监狱制度的现代化始于提篮桥监狱。提篮桥监狱以其精良的设备、现代化的管理制度影响着上海监狱制度的现代化,传播着西方现代监狱文明理念。Shanghai Concessions are the cradle of the modernization of Shanghai,and the modernization of the prison system of shanghai began in the concessions. Tilanqiao Prison,the largest one with modern management system in shanghai,is the typical representative of the prisons in the concessions,it also demonstrated the process of the transition of the prison system of Shanghai.The modernization of the prison system of Shanghai therefore began in Tilanqiao Prison,which influenced the modernization of the prison system of Shanghai and disseminated the ideas of the contemporary western prison with advanced facilities and modern management system.
