摘　　要：邓小平同志提出了"不管白猫黑猫,捉住老鼠就是好猫"的著名论断即"猫论"。这一理论并不是急功近利式的实用主义,而是包含了极为深刻的理论内涵和实践意义,它是新世纪新阶段进一步发展中国经济,实现共同富裕的亲民唯实思想的一种深化和生动体现。"猫论"用最朴素、最平民化的语言道出了深邃的哲理,充分体现了邓小平作为理论家和思想家而独有的语言风格和人格魅力。Deng Xiaoping proposed the famous proclaim of Cat Theory, that is, ＂A good cat is the one who can catch a mouse regardless of its colors.＂ This is not a merely practicality or pragmatism to seek instant benefit, but a theory conceiving profound connotation and practical meaning. It is a specific deepening and embodiment of his civilian and reality oriented thought to activate China＇s economy and enrich most Chinese people. This Cat Theory illustrates the most profound philosophy with rather plain language of the common people, fully embodying Deng＇s unique language style and personal charm as a theoretician and ideologist.
