摘　　要：创新能力是民族进步的灵魂、经济竞争的核心。应用型本科院校要培养卓越的机电工程师，关键就在于提高学生的创新能力．本研究就旨在通过论述创新能力对未来机电工程师培养的意义及原则，并以湖南工程学院的实践教学为例，来探讨与培养应用型人才相适应的机电工程师创新能力的教学新模式。Innovation is the soul of national progress, the core of economic competition; the key factor of developing excellent mechanical and electrical engineers for applied undergraduate college lies in their innovative abilities. This study begins with the discussing of the significance and principles of innovation for future mechanical and electrical engineers, and then takes Hunan Institute of Engineering for example, aims to explore the new model of teaching innovation for training of the mechanical and electrical engineers in according to application talents.
