摘　　要：在WLAN中移动终端设备的电池寿命是一个关键问题。文章概述了基于IEEE802.11协议的WLAN节省能耗的策略,并通过对IEEE802.11MAC协议层节能机制的分析提出一种改进的轮询方案。该方案能克服IEEE802.11在PSM工作模式下,当无线网络流量负载较重时不能显著降低能耗的缺点。In wireless LAN,the battery lifetime of mobile terminals is a critical issue.This paper gives an overview of IEEE802.11 based WLAN＇s power saving strategies,and proposes an improved polling scheme on the basis of careful analysis of the mechanism of PSM（power saving mode） of 802.11 MAC protocol layer.The scheme can overcome the shortcoming that the power consumption with IEEE802.11 can not be significantly reduced in relatively heavy traffic and under PMS mode.
