摘　　要：我国居（村）委会选举在很大程度上是一个自上而下由政府强力推动的过程，其中街道办（乡镇政府）所起的作用往往至关重要。本文以南京市城乡若干社区的实证调查为研究个案，对居民参与社区居（村）委会选举的现状进行解析和反思，并通过Logistic回归分析深入探讨居民对街道办（乡镇政府）的信任度对社区居（村）委会选举究竟有多大以及何种程度的影响。最后以此为基础进行深入分析、研究与反思，阐明提升居民对街道办（乡镇政府）的信任度，从而推动社区居（村）委会选举与居民自治精神发展的可行性途径。China＇s community（village） committee election process is powerfully carried out by the government from top to bottom, what＇s more, the street（township） government plays a very important role in the process. In this paper, we analyze and reflect on the status of residents participation in the community （village） committee election by a case study of an empirical investigation in a number of urban and rural areas of Nanjing, and by means of the Logistic regression analysis, we explore in depth the size and degree of the interactions between residents＇ trust in street（township） government and residents partMpation in community（village） committee election. Last, based on the analysis, research and reflection, we explore some feasible approaches on how to enhance the public trust in street（town） government and to promote the development of community （village） committee election and autonomous spirit of residents. This research is an exploratory study based on the investigation in several Nanjing urban and rural communities and is hoped to be useful for sprouting, taking root in and deepening the theory and practice of grassroots democracy.
