浅析欧茨短篇小说《那年秋天》的叙事艺术

摘　　要：欧茨早期的代表作《那年秋天》展现了她对美国现代家庭婚姻问题的思索。小说的叙事在过去和现在两个层面上交替进行,展现了人物过去和现在的生活状况;全知旁观视角与第三人称有限视角的交替展开以及自由直接引语与自由间接引语的同时使用,展现了人物的内心世界;而不同人物的叙述声音使人物的形象更加饱满,同时也透过这些人物形象揭示出20世纪中后期美国社会存在的婚姻危机。In the Autumn of the Year is a representative story of Joyce Carol Oares. Its superb narrative art exhibits her consideration to marital problems in modern American families. The novel has a distinct narrative structure which proceeds in the levels of the present time and the past time alternatively, showing characters＇life in the past and the present time. The alternative adoption of the omniscient looker - on point of view and the third person limited point of view, and the utilization of free direct quotation and free indirect quotation displays characters＇ inner world. Different characters＇narrative voices not only makes the images of characters fuller, but also discloses marital crisis in American society in the mid and late 20th entury.
