摘　　要：美国著名作家约翰·厄普代克惯常以中产阶级生活作为写作主题,他的小说《兔子富了》最为淋漓尽致地勾勒出中产阶级高度物化的消费主义生活方式和由此引起的道德信仰的缺失。对该小说中透视出的物化现象进行分析和研究,以体现出厄普代克对美国社会传统价值观的探索。John Updike is well-known for his middle class novels and short stories.Among them,Rabbit Is Rich is best at portraying the highly materialized consumerist life style of the American middle class and the resulted loss in religious belief and morality.This article attempts to analyze the materialization reflected in the novel with the aim to manifest the author＇s exploration of American traditional values.
