摘 要:语言文化学研究的基本单位有多种变体形式,厘清这些单位之间的关系和异同是语言与文化研究要解决的首要问题。从哲学基础入手,通过对5种基本单位的分析与比较,我们将文化概念作为语言文化学表意单位的一级变体形式,其他基本单位作为二级变体形式,与文化概念构成上下位关系,在知识性特征和抽象程度上相互区别。它们都可视为某种同时具备语言单位与文化单位特征的两面体,具有双重性,都是语言事实和文化现实之间的认识中介,都具有符号层级性特征,分别反映了符号与认知、符号与历史、符号与事物、符号与交际等多种关系。厘清语言与文化研究的基本单位问题对语言文化学研究有一定的理论与方法意义。The basic units in Linguistic Culturology appear in various variant forms, so it is of primary importance to clarify the relationship and differences between these units in the study of language and culture. Taking philosophical foundation as the point of departure, this paper makes an analysis and comparison of five basic units, from which it concludes that cultural conception can be taken as the variant form on the first level, while the rest fall into the category of the second level, forming hyponymy relation with the former, as they differ in the characteristics of knowledge and the level of abstraction. All of them can be considered as certain entities which have the characteristics of both linguistic and cultural units. Namely,they all enjoy a dual character: they are all media for understanding linguistic facts and cultural reality; they all have the hierarchy characteristics of sign, respectively reflecting the various relationship between sign and cognition, sign and history, sign and objects, sign and communication, and so on. In short, to clarify the basic units in the study of language and culture is of considerable theoretical and methodological significance in Linguistic Culturology.
