摘　　要：猫豆为一种药食两用植物,在印度草药医学中很早就被用于治疗蛇虫咬伤、男性不育、神经衰弱、类风湿性关节炎、糖尿病等疾病。随着近年来药理研究的不断深入,在抗帕金森病作用、镇静安眠、抗蛇毒、治疗男性不育症及其营养作用、毒性作用、贮藏与种植应用等方面均取得了明显进展,尤其是猫豆提取物左旋多巴已明确可治疗帕金森病、猫豆胍单体经动物实验已证实有促进睡眠作用。Mucuna pruiens,a plant which could be used as both medicine and food,was early used to treat the diseases such as snakebite,male infertility,nervous disorders,rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes in India herbal medicine.With the development of pharmacology research in recent years,it achieves many advances in therapeutic effects,such as anti-parkinsonism,calm and hypnotization,anti-snake venom,and treating male infertility,as well as other aspects including nutritive value,toxicity,storage and planting and so on.Especially the extract from Mucuna pruiens,L-dopa,can treat Parkinson＇s disease,and the MDG can promote sleep in animal experiments.
