摘　　要：以海峡西岸经济区(简称为"西岸区域")为对象,针对该区地理位置、地形地貌、水文地质、文化传统、交通布局和城市规则等方面的主要特征,总结灾害及其教训;预测未来灾害形式;分析未来灾害出现的可能性及其损失程度;从区域基本建设角度出发,提出防灾的主要举措和基本策略,为工程实践、经济计划、投资决策和规划管理提供科学依据。This paper summarized disasters and lessons from the Western Shore Economic Zone by the features of area location,topography,hydro-geological,cultural tradi tions,transport layout,urban planning and so on;the form of future disasters was predicted;the possibility of the occurrence of future disasters and the exte nt of losses are analyzed.Major initiatives and basic which can provide a scient ific basis for engineering practice,economic planning,investment planning and management decision-making are proposed for regional infrastructure.
