摘　　要：小说《觉醒》是一部充满象征意义的女性小说。其中,飞鸟、服饰、食物、海洋等形象的象征意义已为人们所熟识,本文从象征主义角度分析小说中所涉及的几个主要场所与住所的象征意义,以进一步拓展小说的阅读视野。The Awakening is a novel full of symbolism. The symbols, such as birds, clothes, food and ocean are all props serving to imply some hidden meaning of the text and its significance. Besides these commonly considered symbols, there are some places and houses in the novel which also bear certain symbolic meanings including the one on Grand Isle, the one in New Orleans, the pigeon house, etc. This paper makes tentative analysis to interpret the symbolic significance of these places and houses to make the novel clearer to the readers.
