摘　　要：以胡锦涛同志为总书记的党中央明确提出,要"促进阶层关系和谐",必须统筹协调社会各阶层的利益,形成"各尽其能、各得其所而又和谐相处的局面"。从社会主义和谐社会的六个基本特征出发,可以深入挖掘"促进阶层关系和谐"思想的丰富内涵,把它概括为政治诉求表达和谐、利益协调机制和谐、思想道德基础和谐、动力平衡机制和谐、管理体制创新和谐、生态文明基础和谐。Aeeording to the CCCPC with Mr. HU Jin-tao as its Secretary-General, in order to ＂promote harmonious relations between different soeial strata＂, we must eoordinate and balanee the interests of different soeial strata and create the ＂ situation that each one can do his best and in his proper plaee, and everybody lives in perfect harmony with each other＂. From the six basis characteristics of socialist harmonious society, we ean discover the essence of sueh ideology, i.e. harmonious expression of political appeals, harmonious interest coordination mechanism, harmonious ideological ＆ moral basis, harmonious motivation balancing meehanism, harmonious innovation on management system and harmonious eeo-civilization foundation.
