摘　　要：詹姆士.巴里的小说《彼得在肯辛顿花园》和《彼得和温迪》写于20世纪初期,小说的主要人物彼得不只是一个长不大的小孩,他还有四个象征性身份。通过分析彼得的身份及特点笔者进而阐明彼得身份的多样性及颠覆性是与作者创作时期的时代背景及思想分不开的。James Barrie＇s novel Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens and Peter and Wendy was written at the beginning of the twentieth century. Peter Pan is not only a child but he also has four symbolized identities. By analyzing characteristics of Peter＇s symbolized identifies,a conclusion is made： multitude and subversion of Peter＇s identity can not be separated from the historical background and thoughts of the writer＇ s writing period.
