摘　　要：在《成己与成物:意义世界的生成》一书中,杨国荣对作为其书名的两个概念,"成己"和"成物",作了详尽无遗的论述。相对来说,杨国荣对于一个与此相关的,且同样重要的概念,即"成人",没有加以同样的重视。成己指向行为者自身,成物指向自然世界,而成人则指向自我之外的其他人。一个人当然要通过自我修养来完成自己,通过辅助自然万物而让其各自完成他们自己,而且也需要通过道德教育或感化使他人也实现他们自己,并让他们也能去辅助别人和自然万物完成自己。在此成己当然是最重要的。但这不是说,一个人要先成己,然后再能成人和成物,因为一个未去成人和成物的人也不能说已经成己。在这个意义上,成己包含了成人和成物。In Self-Realization and the Realization of Things,Yang Guorong goes into detail of the two main ideas appearing in the title.However,he does not pay specific attention to the related and what seems to me equally important idea,realization of other human beings.Self-realization is to realize one's own human nature through self-cultivation,realization of the natural things is to let and help natural things realize their nature,while the realization of other human beings is to help them to realize their own human nature.Of the three,self-realization is the most important.This does not mean that one need first realize one's own nature before one can assist other human beings and natural things to realize their nature,since one who does not assist others(human and non-human beings) to realize their natures cannot claim to have realized one's own nature.In this sense,self-realization includes the other two.
