摘　　要：17世纪人类在天文学等自然科学领域所取得的成就极大地影响了英国玄学派诗歌的生成与发展。玄学派诗人的时空意识、发现意识和探索精神,体现了时代特质,与自然科学的发展有着重要关联。玄学派诗人在创作方面对新词和自然科学术语的偏好,对巧智、双关、奇喻的沉迷,以及对动态意象的酷爱和对圆形意象的追求,都体现了自然科学的革命性的影响。然而他们对自然科学的理解,特别是关于宇宙空间的想象,又与他们传统的思维模式构成了强烈的冲撞,从而获得了具有玄学色彩的形态和意义。The formation of English metaphysical poetry was highly influenced by the achieve-ments of natural sciences in the 17th century.The space-time consciousness and the spirit of dis-covery and exploration of metaphysical poets were closely linked with the developments of naturalsciences and incarnated the particularity of that time.The revolutionary influences of natural sci-ences on the development of metaphysical poetry include the preference of new words and scientif-ic terms in the writing of metaphysical poets,their addiction to wits,puns and conceits,and theirpursuance of the dynamic images and the image of circle.At the same time,the poets＇under-standing of natural sciences,especially their space imagination,was strongly inconsistent withtheir conventional thinking mode,and thus metaphysical poetry got its particular forms and mean-ings.
