摘　　要：核因子NF-κB(Nuclear factor kappa-B,NF-κB)是一个大的转录因子家族,调控着多种炎症因子的表达。它在动脉粥样硬化、关节炎、哮喘、肿瘤等疾病的发展中都起了重要的作用。文章介绍了NF-κB活化的调控机制,包括经典途径和旁路途径,并对NF-κB信号通路在以上相关疾病发生过程的作用及中药对其的影响进行了探讨,尤其着重论述了NF-κB对动脉粥样硬化的影响和相关中药通过阻断或抑制NF-κB信号通路来治疗此病的最新研究成果。Nuclear factor kappa-B（NF-κB） is a huge transcription factor family which participates the regulation of a battery of inflammatory genes.The over activation of NF-κB is intimately involved in many human diseases such as atherosclerosis、arthritis、asthma and malignant tumor and so on.This article reviewed the activation mechanisms of NF-κB including both classical pathway and alternative pathway.We also introduced the key role of NF-κB among the diseases mentioned above.We emphasized the importance of Chinese traditional medicine in regulation of several molecular targets of NF-κB pathway.Special attention was made on the newest researches of atherosclerosis and the influence of TCM on altered NF-κB pathway was discussed.
