摘  要:JFFS2是目前比较流行的闪存文件系统,其可靠性对于闪存数据维护至关重要。提出一种基于错误植入的分析方法,首次对JFFS2文件系统的可靠性进行了深入研究。设计了8种类型的错误,在Linux内核中进行了错误植入。实验结果表明,JFFS2文件系统具有一定的错误检测和恢复能力,可以检测到所有错误,并可以通过重试机制恢复写错误和擦除错误。但是对于大部分测试工作负载,JFFS2不能恢复读错误,结果导致操作失败。最后针对增强JFFS2文件系统的可靠性提出了改进方案。JFFS2 is a quite popular flash file system today. Its reliability is very important to data maintenance of flash memory. In this paper we present an analysis method based on fault injection technology, and for the first time make a deep research on the reliability of JFFS2 file system. We develop eight types of errors, and inject faults into Linux kernel. Experimental results show that JFFS2 file system has certain capability in fault detection and recovery, and JFFS2 is capable of detecting all kinds of flash faults and recovering from writing and erasing errors through retrying mechanism. However, for most workloads of test, JFFS2 is not able to recover from the reading errors which will lead to operation failure. In the end of this paper, we propose the melioration scheme on improving the reliability of JFFS2 file system.
