摘　　要：UMTS将为未来的信息系统提供业务平台,整个通信界都支持这一发展趋势。技术将不再被看作是问题,而是被看作是业务创新、业务多样化和业务区分的驱动力,UMTS将代表当前大多数移动网络基础设施自然演进的趋势。文章首先给出了UMTS业务体系结构,研究了UMTS的业务分类,分析了UMTS应用开发原理,最后给出了UMTS的业务特征。UMTS will progress into the service platform for future information systems;the whole communication industry is behind it.Technology will no longer be perceived as an issue but as the driver for innovation and service variety and differentiation.UMTS will stand as the natural evolution of a majority of today's mobile network infrastructures. This paper presents the service architecture of UMTS and studies the common service categories in UMTS.In conclusion,we analyze the application development principles of UMTS in detail and present main service features in UMTS.
