摘 要:A novel method to analyze the damping effect of the VSC based FACTS(VBF) device is proposed, which is developed on the basis of the well-known equalarea criterion and small-disturbance analysis of power system oscillations.By use of the proposed method, two conclusions are obtained for study of the damping effect of the VBF.The research results clearly show the contribution of the VBF control to the damping of power system oscillations.Simulation results of an example power system are used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.A novel method to analyze the damping effect of the VSC based FACTS (VBF) device is proposed, which is developed on the basis of the well-known equal-area criterion and small-disturbance analysis of power system oscillations. By use of the proposed method, two conclusions are obtained for study of the damping effect of the VBF. The research results clearly show the contribution of the VBF control to the damping of power system oscillations. Simulation results of an example power system are used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
