摘　　要：ELT is an organic process that is influenced by avariety of factors.These break down into two types:explicit,which is objective and the other is implicit,which is subjective.This paper argues that subjectivefactors are subordinated to objective ones.Of the lat-ter,the Society factor,followed by the Subject andStudent factors in importance,is the central one thatdetermines the teaching process.ELT is an organic process that is influenced by a variety of factors.These break down into two types: explicit,which is objective and the other is implicit, which is subjective.This paper argues that subjective factors are subordinated to objective ones.Of the lat- ter,the Society factor,followed by the Subject and Student factors in importance,is the central one that determines the teaching process.
