STUDIES ON COCHINEAL SCALES PORPHYROPHORA (Homoptera: Coccoidea, Margarodidae)

摘　　要：本文总结了胭珠蚧属 Porphyrophora Brandt et Ratz.(1933)国内外研究成果 ,发现已记录之 P.ningxiana Yang (1979)和 P.xinjiangana Yang (1979)为 P.sophorae (Arch.,1935)之新异名 ;另新记录 2种 :即 P.polonica(L.,1758)和 P.ussuriensis Borchs.(194 9)及评定 P.yamenica Yang (1979)为 P.hirsutissima(Hall,192 4 )The present paper after revision on the whole references relevent to the group and studies on the material collected from that area suggests that there are 3 real species existed in China, of which 2 are new recorded, viz. P.polonica (L.) found on Innermongolia on the roots of Caragana spp. and Agropyron sp. and P.ussuriensis Borchs. recorded in Innermongolia on roots of Cleistogene sp., as to the another one is Porphyrophora sophorae (Arch., 1935) wich present material came from Linwu County of Ningxia on roots of Sophora sp., Glycyrrhiza uralensis, hedysarum scoparium (Collecters Gao Zhao-ning and Guo Yu-yuan of Ningxia Agr. Sci. Academy, VII 12, VIII 16, 1976); Mannasi of Xing Jiang on Sophora sp. (Qu Ban-xuan of Xin. 81 Agri. Acad., 1980, VIII). Prof.Yang Ji-kun(1979:41-43) published 2 new species: P.ningxiana and P.xingjiangana in ENTOMOTAXONOMIA I(1), based on material of the same of P.sophorae occupied by me as suggested above, after studies on my occupied material, recognized that the 2 are exactly synonymized with sophorae. According to the opinion of Yang the 2 are also allied to sophorae, but distinguished merely by the antennae in numbers of segments in the adult female: there are 7 segments in ningxiana, 9 segments in xingjiangana and 9-10 segments in sophorae. Matesova et Jashenko(1988:753-759) had pointed that in history there is an another species P.violaceae Mate. et Jash., 1988 which with antennae in 10-11 segments, mixed with sophorae, thus the real antennae of sophorae is in 7-9 segments. It is realized by me after observation on me occupied material, the normal individuals with antennae in 7-9 segments, but a few in variant number, even on one with 4 on left side and 8 on another side. The number of setae and sensillae on antennal terminal are also variable within a species, whick cann't be used as a stable chacter; besides, we observed that the peripheral pores of thoracic spiracle in cyst of adult female is about 151-161 in my material, there are 115-140 in Yang's description, thus it is
