摘　　要：改革开放近20年的四川,道路交通已经发生了巨大的变化。而站在世纪之交展望明日的蜀道,将是一副怎样的面貌呢?带着这个问题,我们走访了四川省交通厅厅长刘中山先生。According to Mr.Liu Zhongshan,the director of Sichuan Provincial Transportation Administration,Sichuan is now implementing the development strategy for its communications,which focuses on the development of expressway.Ten expressways are under speedy construction.By 2000,the total mileage of expressway in the province will reach 1000 km,then basically forming a reverse Y type trunk line layout,Fourteen of its 20 cities,prefectures and autonomous prefectures will be linked by expressways. Based on the layout,Sichuan is speeding up the construction of 3 grades of road network,i.e,counties will be linked by grade 1 or 2 highway with expressway and towns linked by road network.The Chinese saying 'Those who want to be rich must first build good roads'has become common understanding of Sichuan people,who are now turning it into their action.
